Professional Profile


I graduated with honors in Medicine and Surgery in 2004 and specialized with honors in Ophthalmology in 2008 at the University of Genoa.

I subsequently collaborated with the National Institute for Cancer Research (IST) in Genoa, the ASL 3 of Genoa, and the Centre Antoine Lacassagne in Nice.

From 2012 to May 2019, I worked as a Staff Physician at the Ospedale Galliera in Genoa.

 

In June 2019, I moved to Milan to work as a Staff Physician at the Ocular Oncology Center of the Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori, where I perform medical and surgical activities.

 

For several years, I have collaborated with the National Center for Oncological Hadrontherapy (CNAO) in Pavia for the treatment of ocular tumors using proton beam radiotherapy.

Clinical Practice


Clinical and surgical activity is focused on the diagnosis and treatment of intraocular tumors and conjunctival tumors.

Note for patients: For orbital and eyelid tumors, in case of suspicious lesions in these areas, it is recommended to send an email to francesco.b.lanza@gmail.com before proceeding with an online booking.

It is possible to book eye examinations (adults and children) and advanced diagnostics (OCT, ocular ultrasound, fundus and anterior segment photography) in private intramural practice in Milan.
